Job Summary:

The Maintenance 1 receives on-the-job training and supervision to learn to maintain production readiness of plant equipment. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs miscellaneous duties in the machine shop as directed when supervisor is unavailable for training.
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Attributes:

  1. Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift.
  2. Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  3. Communicates well verbally and in writing.
  4. Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity.

 

Education, Skills and Experience:

             

              Required:

  1. Strong skills and aptitude in math.

Physical Demands:

  1. Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  2. Continuous standing and walking throughout the workday.

Work Environment:

  1. The Maintenance works in the machine shop environment throughout the work day; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc.
  2. Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives, and other chemicals may occur, as well as possible skin and inhaled contact with chemicals used to run CNC machines or clean manufactured parts, including solvents and MEK.
  3. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required. 
  4. Safety training is required and provided by the Company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and Company policy.
