Reports to: HR Manager

Pay Grade/Range: $12 - $13/hr

Job Summary:

The primary function of this position is to provide support for all human resource functions, including but not limited to payroll, benefits, training, and all other aspects related to the department as needed. In addition, the HR assistant provides back-up for the reception desk as needed. The HR assistant must have a desire to support the company while attending to the needs of each individual employee in a positive, outgoing manner. Position requires much communication with supervision and management of AMT.

Duties and Responsibilities:     

  • Employment Verifications
  • Filing for department
  • Tracking and distributing Anniversary and Welcome gifts
  • Manage, post certifications in Syteline and print certification badges
  • Develop training schedules, follow-through, training room prep.
  • Track Employee reviews and notify supervisors of upcoming reviews
  • Paycheck stuffers when necessary
  • Employee boards – keep current events or information up to date
  • Communicate with employees and Iron Mt to schedule pick up of boxes.
  • Upkeep of company store with the exclusion of employee purchases.
  • Back up for all other aspects of the department, and picking up any overflow when busy, or as needed.
  • Upkeep all packet for new hire orientation, benefit meetings, etc.
  • Input of daily attendance into Syteline
  • All duties relating to the badge system
  • Data entry in Syteline for new hires
  • Assist and collaborate with Employee Benefits Administrator in company events such as picnic, health fair, etc, as needed.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Preferred -1 year experience in human resources or related field
  3. Microsoft excel, word, outlook

Physical Demands:

  1. Use of computer keyboard and mouse, and multi-line phone.

Work Environment:

  1. Primarily shared office environment.
  2. May be required to enter the machine shop environment at times throughout the work day; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc.
  3. Possible skin and inhaled contact with various sealants, paints, adhesives, and other chemicals may occur.
  4. The Company provides industry standard safety equipment, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required. 
  5. Safety training is required and provided by the Company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and Company policy.
